Am thinking of changing doc's after being with current practice for almost thirty two years. Was very impressed with lovely receptionist @personal reccomendations from friends @ colleagues. Am definitely considering this one @ make final decision tomorrow.
Can't thank all staff enough for fast,efficient, support of my Mother whilst on Holiday .
I find ALL the staff very helpful and considerate. I have been with the practice 5 years and have to say that from what my friends tell me about other GP practices in the town we are very fortunate to have Dr Tracey, Dr McMillan, Dr Convery and Dr Donaghy. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. Finally, we always need to remember the pressure the NHS is under at times.
I HAVE FOUND THE NON MEDICAL STAFF (IE:- THE RECEPTIONISTS AND PEOPLE WHO DEAL WITH APPOINTMENTS, REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS ETC ) KIND, UNDERSTANDING AND HELPFUL AT ALL TIMES.I'M NOT A REGULAR ''VISITOR'' BUT ON THE OCCASIONS THAT I HAVE HAD TO SEE A DOCTOR OR NURSE THEY HAVE BEEN EXCELLENT.I HAVE AN ADULT DAUGHTER WITH A SEVERE LEARNING DISABILITY AND THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY GOOD WITH HER DESPITE THE FACT THAT SHE CAN EXHIBIT VERY DIFFICULT BEHAVIOUR AT TIMES.I USED TO BE A PATIENT AT A DIFFERENT COLERAINE SURGERY AND YOU ALWAYS HAD TO WAIT AN HOUR PLUS BEYOND THE APPOINTMENT TIME TO SEE THE DOCTOR BUT AT KILLOWEN I DON'T BELIEVE THAT I HAVE EVER WAITED LONGER THAN 10 MINUTES.OVER ALL I'D RATE THE SURGERY AS EXCELLENT
Been with killowen health centre my entire lifemail. Over the past few years it's become less and less reliable with the receptionist thinking they are the doctors themselves. I shouldn't have to give out personal health info to secure an appointment or be told at 11+ weeks pregnant that I'm not high priority enough to see the midwife ASAP even though I've been trying to contact them for weeks on end with no reply. Phones rings for 5mins solid without being picked up. Total sham of a health centre and would not recommend it to anyone
